NFL Beat the Best is our premier handicapping, against-the-spread contest. Travis and I started this contest as an homage to the legendary Hilton Contest in Las Vegas. You pick 5 games per week ATS. That's it. Last year Rick Brody was the NFL Beat the Best Champion. This year we're back for our 4th season with bigger and better prizes. 2005 will be the second season of our Totals contest, Ring the Bell. Ring the Bell will be hosted by Sports Wise Guys and run by Travis Dennee. This contest is run exactly the same as Beat the Best only you don't pick the matchups, you pick NFL totals (over/unders). Last year several teams were very successful over the course of the season picking these totals. Chris Corcoran qualified for the Ring the Bell playoffs last year as the #13 seed, but blasted through the playoffs to become the 1st Ring the Bell Champion. He collected a very nice $750 BetGameDay award. This year we are again coming back with Ring the Bell and have bigger and better prizes. The champion this year is going to collect a $1000 VIP award. 2005 will mark the 1st year of our new Ultimate Survivor contest. Smart Guy Sports (www.smartguysports.com) will be the host of this contest this year and will be run by Brian Kreklau. Survivor contests have been taking the country by storm so we thought that we would get involved this year.
